It's that time of the month already - another FHSST monthly update!

1) Content editing and additions
2) Planning for the future

1) During July our editors have been moving full steam ahead with physics, chemistry and maths editing. There is now a comprehensive list of missing items linked from the FHSST homepage (http://hep.phy.uct.ac.za/~blyth/ItemsList_JunJulAug24Jul07.html) which will be kept updated over the next 5 months until completion of the books. We hope that you as volunteers will take the time to browse the list and pick a few items to work on. If you decide to work on an item, (to avoid duplication with other volunteers) you can post a new forum topic (under the relevant book topic) stating the item number so that I can keep the list up to date and allocate items accordingly. Our new searchable "Worked Example" and "Activity" forms, accessible from the main menu, are a great way to add single items to our database.

2) Now that our books are really nearing completion, the next plans will involve finding sponsors to do the printing and distribution. We will be spending time during August on putting together a proposal for this part of the project. If any of you have any ideas about this, or suggestions of organisations which we might approach to help out with sponsorship in either printing or distribution, please post a forum topic or email the admin team directly. We would love to have your input on this!

Now it's nose back to the grindstone to get these books done..!
